Hey,Welcome on my site.
I'm Jef Geerts, living in Olen, Belgium. I'm a sculpture artist and I make stone sculptures.I'm an autodidact.
While a vision of what I'm after is present, it is often the stone itself that dictates the shape and size of the finished work.
I like to utilize the stone's rough outline and allow myself to work intuitively, which often takes me in unexpected directions.
By following lines and contours, the end product can often be quite different from what I was originally envisioning.
It's part of the beauty of working with stone, you never know where it will lead you.
